Confluence and Compression at the Cusp of Continuity: an Ante-Diluvian Catastrophe 1994
Shown here at the Museum of Contemporay Art, Lake Worth FLA.in 1999
Made of Pine, nylon line and music wire it measured 14' x 80' x 10'.
This installation occupied two parts of the main gallery separating cause and effect. Rocking on the chair
ratcheted a worm gear which inexorably and imperceptibly drove together parts of an elegant wood construction in another room until they broke.
As part of this installation there was a questionnaire stand with questionnaires about time ( "Which word in the following pairs has the most Time").
